Welcome to the ranch! Our roof pitch is steeper than most similarly-styled homes in our 'hood, which got us thinking we could put the kids' bedrooms in the attic. First estimates for adding 2BR and a bath upstairs, plus expanding the living area downstairs, were a little steep, so we're thinking we'll just focus on downstairs for now. Maybe in the future we could add their rooms to the front of the house with a couple of dormers (instead of on the rear via shed dormer).
